Limitations and alternatives

Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of the LUT Research Portal (Converis Portal 6.15) there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known limitations and potential solutions. Please contact us if you observe an issue not listed below.

Known limitations for the LUT Research Portal (Converis Portal 6.15):

  1. Detail Page - Attribute language: Attributes in the detail page might be marked with the wrong language in html code, because Converis marks the attributes of the page according to the language selected by the user. The system has no control over the language that the values are entered in. We are in the process of removing the language tags where they are not helpful, or may indicate the wrong language.
  2. Page navigation: The high-level html structure is misleading and does not give the user a good overview of the page via screenreader tools. The title elements of the page are ordered in a way that does not take accessibility into account. We are in the process of changing the high level html structure to reflect the logical structure of the page.

Assessment approach

Clarivate assessed the accessibility of Converis Portal 6.15 by the following approaches:

  • Self-evaluation
  • Collaboration with external accessibility experts (mindscreen GmbH, Munich, Germany)
