Academic position in LUT: Post Doctoral Researcher

Research Interests
Anne Quarshie works as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the School of Business and Management at LUT University. Her main research interests include sustainable supply chain management, systemic change processes, and interorganizational interaction. She conducts research on these topics in the context of various grand challenges, such as biodiversity loss, human rights violations, and humanitarian disasters. Anne's research has been published in leading scientific journals, such as the Journal of Operations Management, Journal of Supply Chain Management, Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management, Journal of Business Ethics, and Organization & Environment. She is also a co-author of the book "Corporate Social Responsibility in Finland: Origins, Characteristics, and Trends". Anne's research has received several recognitions, such as the IPSERA Best Doctoral Dissertation in Purchasing Award 2017 and the Routledge Best Paper in Social Partnership Award 2016.

Anne completed her doctorate degree at Aalto University's School of Business in April 2017. During her doctoral studies, she worked for two years as a Visiting Researcher at Rutgers Business School, Department of Supply Chain Management, in New Jersey, USA. In addition, Anne has extensive practical experience related to CSR and sustainability from the nonprofit sector. Prior to becoming a researcher, she worked for several years at Fairtrade Finland, where she managed relationships with Finnish retailers and food manufacturers, and was a member of the organization's top management team. Anne has also worked at the US headquarters of Save the Children. Anne holds a M.Sc. (Econ) degree in International Business from the Helsinki School of Economics, and has studied as a visiting MBA student at Hofstra University, NY, USA.

Teaching Experience

Anne teaches at bachelor's, master's and doctoral-level courses on corporate social responsibility, sustainability, business ethics, and supply chain management.
