The innovation management academic and business society is developingfast in the last decade and getting equipped with modern techniques, toolsand approaches aimed to increase value added on the all stages of innovationprocess. Every now and then, we see TRIZ abbreviation (the Russianacronym for the Theory of Inventive Problem Solving, TIPS) in innovationacademic papers and topic for business development seminars. The growingnumber of academic publication on TRIZ indicates the increasing interestto topic from academic and practitioners. This conceptual paper conductscomprehensive literature review where we explored management, and morespecifically, innovation management related TRIZ academic papers. Wefocused on 175 documents from both databases (122 from Scopus and 53from Web of Knowledge). Our fi ndings have both theoretical and practicalimplications. Theoretical contribution is referred to the mapping the TRIZtheory development paths and possibilities for future research implicationsin innovation management. Managers could benefi t with collection of TRIZmethodologies, what will save time and facilitate path to fi nding right solutionfor the innovation related problems they encounter. The paper also contributesto the discussion started by Moehrle (2005) with theoretical dimension andframework for the empirical studies.
