Abstract

In control engineering education, interactive learning material is important to support the student to actively engage with the learning material. Especially, during the computer class exercises the given problem to be solved should be easy-to-follow and as visual as possible. Instead of using traditional problem description in paper-form, the so-called Matlab Live Script files give the possibility to make interactive learning material with visual problem statement that can be combined with the Matlab functions normally. In this paper, it is shown what kind of exercise material can be built with Matlab Live Scripts to support control engineering learning. Based on the student feedback, the implications of visual learning material in the course development is analyzed in brief.
