Micro Manufacturing Unit (MMU) used in this research is a digital twin
research environment to study how to construct a digital twin and what
kind of information is needed to describe the realistic behavior of the
digital model of a micro manufacturing unit. Physical twin, a digital
twin and the model must be equal. In this study, the MMU is modelled
with commercial 3D-modelling software and restrictions and realistic
movement were added to model. This study shows
the main characteristics and the restriction needed to describe MMU
model, which is used later on as an element of overall a digital twin.
Overall, digital twin consists of a machine, material, method,
measurement and modeling fields like a physical world describes it.
