In Finland, we are struggling with small improvements, without trying to exceed customer´s expectations. Traditionally our strength has been a narrow-focused engineer-like thinking. Creating new and focusing on what customers prefer have been overshadowed by diminishing costs (profitability) and updating existing products. This is not enough in global and furious competitive environment. The biggest problems are in attitudes, mind sets, management (and lack of leadership) and artificial focus on customers. Current operations are not challenged, because we are so used to get easy money. Kick ass attitude is missing. We are afraid of changes and failures. In addition to complaining our own situation we even tend to envy those who have succeeded, even though we are usually not willing to change our own ways of operating.The Game Changer study approaches the issue from the viewpoint of strategic value innovation, in which conventions of industry are challenged to differentiate company from competitors and to create new radical value for customers and partners. Value is examined from the perspective of thick, human-centred and shared value. Thick value consists of combination of different value elements like economical, functional, emotional, cultural, social and ecological value. Human-centred value creation focuses on understanding cultures and life and meanings of people. Shared value means win-win situations for different parties within value system. Birth of value innovation demands for active participation of different parties in value system. In Peluri, we are studying gamification and playfulness as methods to energize and collide people, and to courage them to go outside their comfort zone.

Peluri tries to find answers the following questions:
· What kind of organization can make the value leap towards thick, human-centred and shared value?
· How to become this kind of organization?
· How strategic value innovation are created?
· How strategic value innovation should be managed and leaded within value system?

Peluri is performed in cooperation of Lappeenranta University of Technology, VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland and Saimaa University of Applied Sciences. Private and public partners are ProAgria Lappi, Etelä-Karjalan sosiaali- ja terveyspiiri, Innokas Medical, HUB logistics, Nasta technologies, OLP-Tuotanto, Imatran kaupunki, Tana, Lehtosen konepaja, OCTO3 and Haloila.
