Abstract
MonGOS project aims at strengthening the implementation of the circular economy
(CE) model in the water and sewage sector by undertaking international cooperation with leading scientific institutions in Europe in the field of water and sewage management. This sector is currently facing many challenges arising from the implementation of the circular economy model - the political priority of the European Union.

The project specifically focuses on:
  • Identification and assessment of the potential for CE
transformation in the water and sewage sector,
  • Exchange of good practices and knowledge transfer in the
implementation of CE in the water and sewage sector,
  • Development of the Monitoring Framework for
transformation towards CE in the water and sewage sector, and
  • Development and implementation of a plan for the
    dissemination of international research results.
The project is to build an effective and lasting dialogue and cooperation between the scientific communities of the countries participating in the project, i.e. Poland, Finland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and Belgium. The project targets companies operating in the water and sewage sector, business environment institutions, administration, established scientists, as well as young researchers.
