Research Interest
Sami Saarenketo is Dean and Professor of International Marketing at School of Business and Management, Lappeenranta University of Technology, Finland.

Professor Saarenketo’s research covers topics related to "International Marketing", “International Entrepreneurship” and “Internationalization of the Firms”, especially “Born Globals” and “International New Ventures”. Most of his research has taken place in the contexts of “knowledge-intensive” and “technology-based” companies such as “ICT” and “software business”.

Professor Saarenketo is the author of numerous theoretical and empirical articles, many of which have been published in leading scholarly journals, including “Journal of World Business”, "Management International Review", “International Business Review”, “Technovation”, “European Journal of Marketing”, “European Business Review”, and “Journal of International Entrepreneurship”.
