Biography
Lasse Torkkeli is an Associate Professor at LUT University and is a Visiting Fellow in the Department of Business Administration, TalTech. He is also an Adjunct Professor of International Business in the Turku School of Economics at the University of Turku.

At LUT University, Torkkeli has directed the Master's Programme on International Business and Entrepreneurship (MIBE) as well as the research group on International Business, Entrepreneurship and Marketing. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed scientific articles and supervised over 50 final theses (at bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels). He has also reviewed project applications for The European Science Foundation and is a member of the Editorial Advisory Group for Cambridge University Scholars, member of the Editorial Board of International Journal of Comparative Management, and a Topic Editor in the journal Sustainability.

Torkkeli is and has been project manager, principal investigator and/or co-investigator in several projects since 2015, including:
-International Opportunities and Business Models in the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem (IOBMEE)
-Enhancing Value Creation and Value Capture through Business Model Configuration: An Ecosystem Perspective (ENHANCE)
-Boosting the Internationalization of Cleantech SMEs (BICS)
-Go East: Sustainable internationalization of Finnish SMEs to Russia
-Digipro: Internationally Scalable Business from Digitality

Research Interest
Torkkeli's research interests are in the international entrepreneurship and international business domains, and include SME internationalization, especially in sustainable and digital entrepreneurship. He has previously published in the International Business Review, International Marketing Review, and in the European Management Journal, among other journals and publishers.
