Biography
Jari Porras D.Sc (Tech) is Professor at the School of Business and Management. He received the D. Sc. (Tech.) degree from the Lappeenranta University of Technology, Finland in 1998 about modelling and simulation of distributed communication environments. Prof. Porras has supervised 450+ M.Sc thesis works, 20 Doctoral thesis works and acted as an examiner in 18 doctoral thesis works in his career. He has conducted research on parallel and distributed computing, wireless and mobile systems and services as well as sustainable ICT. He is interested in software engineering for sustainability and is the responsible person in LUT for the Erasmus Mundus PERCCOM programme focusing on green and sustainable ICT.
