Biography
Andrzej Kraslawski obtained his PhD from Lodz University of Technology (LoUT), Poland in 1983 . From 1988 to 1990 he worked as Visiting Professor at ENSIGC Toulouse, France. He has been working at Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT) since 1990. Actually he is Professor of Systems Engineering at LUT and Professor of Safety Engineering at LoUT. He is also Visiting Professor at South China University of Technology, Guangzhou, and Mining Institute, Sankt Petersburg, Russia.

His research interest is focused on development of methods for knowledge discovery and re-use; sustainability assessment and process safety analysis. Professor Kraslawski has published over 160 research papers and promoted 9 PhD students.
